Endometriosis
Resource Hub

Mino Care in partnership with the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada has developed an Endometriosis Hub for Black women.

African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) people in Canada can face barriers in diagnosis and treatment for endometriosis. This resource page was developed as part of an initiative by the SOGC and Mino Care to improve awareness of and access to endometriosis care for the ACB community. Our goal is to provide culturally safe information and resources to support the understanding of symptoms, navigation of the diagnostic process, and exploration of treatment options for endometriosis.

The SOGC and Mino Care have collaborated on a campaign focused on endometriosis awareness for the African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) community in Canada. This initiative provides culturally relevant, evidence-based information on endometriosis and pelvic health, promoting proactive health management. The campaign includes a dedicated SOGC resource page, social media outreach, a podcast with personal stories and expert advice, informative posters, and a pain logbook. Mino Care's website also offers a list of health care providers who can support ACB individuals with endometriosis. We encourage everyone to download, share, and engage with these resources to help raise awareness and share knowledge and options for care.

Pain
Logbook

Mino Care and the SOGC have created a pain logbook designed specifically for the African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) community. This tool helps individuals track, manage, and share their experiences with period and pelvic pain. The logbook serves as a resource to educate and raise awareness about pelvic conditions, offering the language and information necessary to support future diagnosis and care. Download the English or French version of the Pain Logbook to manage your pain symptoms.
