Kait is a black, queer birth worker. She is currently practicing as a postpartum doula and lactation specialist.
Trained by the midwives of Manhattan Birth in lactation, Kait believes that new parents know their bodies and their babies best and deserve to have birth workers around them who want to empower them while lending a helping hand.
Kait became a mother in Fall 2020, and she knows just how important it is to have support. At a time when we were not able to be around many people, she was intentional about surrounding herself with only those who empowered and encouraged her to use her intuition during pregnancy, labour and postpartum.
Kait believes in a healthy balance of holistic and western medicinal practices and encourages her clients to listen to their bodies (which is also what she tells her two year old!). She is a runner and a pilates enthusiast and promotes movement in both pregnancy and postpartum.
She breastfeeds her daughter to this day and would love to support you in your lactation journey as well, whatever it may look like! Kait has a deep respect for the the birthing parent-child dyad and knows that when one part of the dyad thrives so does the other.
Fun facts about me: cat person, vanilla oat lattes are my love language, minimalist in training, I love to read and probably have 2-3 books on the go!
