Biography:

Samantha is a skilled and compassionate Registered Social Worker with over sixteen years of experience supporting individuals and families across the social service and mental health sectors. Her practice is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep belief in people’s ability to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.

Samantha has worked with a wide range of communities, including individuals navigating mental health challenges, substance use, grief, displacement, and migration stressors. She brings a grounded, culturally informed lens to her work—one shaped by years of walking alongside clients facing systemic barriers, identity transitions, and intergenerational struggles. Her approach is trauma-aware and strength-based, and she is particularly attuned to the needs of women and caregivers who are often managing multiple, unseen burdens.

Drawing on therapeutic tools such as cognitive-behavioural strategies, solution-focused dialogue, and psychoeducation, Samantha helps clients reconnect with their values, build coping strategies, and restore a sense of clarity and self-trust. She sees therapy as both a space for deep reflection and a tool for reclaiming calm, choice, and personal agency.

Samantha offers virtual therapy across Ontario and other Canadian provinces, where permitted.

**As a member of Karibu’s Wellness Access Initiative Team, Samantha is pleased to offer 15-minute Complimentary Consultations for New Clients, along with a wide range of sliding scale options to support accessible care. Direct billing is also available for clients with eligible insurance coverage.

Perinatal and Family Care:

Samantha supports individuals navigating major life transitions, including the identity shifts and emotional complexities that come with pregnancy, parenting, and caregiving. She offers therapeutic support to those adjusting to parenthood, managing relationship or family stress, or coping with anxiety, depression, or trauma during the perinatal period.

Her background includes working with clients affected by migration, systemic inequities, and intergenerational trauma—all of which can impact the reproductive and parenting journey. With compassion and cultural awareness, Samantha holds space for clients to process grief, overwhelm, and change, while building practical tools for resilience and emotional regulation.

Whether supporting new parents, individuals planning to grow their families, or those caring for others while navigating their own healing, Samantha brings a calm, client-centred presence to every session.
