Biography:

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with more than 25 years experience. I have worked internationally to promote, protect, and support breastfeeding/chestfeeding. My strong clinical skills are coupled with program development, evaluation, and not-for-profit experience.

My unique skill set allows me to offer a comprehensive healthcare approach to families. Family-centred care is the cornerstone of my service. I adopt a holistic approach to understand all factors that may impact the breastfeeding dyad, and I strive to provide culturally concordant healthcare.

Perinatal and Family Care:

A lactation consultant is an essential member of a prenatal and family care team. They play a pivotal role in infant feeding, particularly breastfeeding.

I can support families in preparing to breastfeed, solve feeding challenges (in the postpartum period), and offer continued guidance until weaning. I strive to protect maternal-child health, promote emotional well-being, and empower families to navigate the complexities of breastfeeding.

Furthermore, my dedication to family-centred healthcare was strengthened when I completed a Diploma in Herbal Medicine from England. I offer one-on-one herbal consultation to mothers in the perinatal period. During the consultation, mothers are given a space to express their current health concerns.
