Biography:

I’m Dr. Janelle Tyme, ND, a licensed naturopathic doctor based in Ontario with a clinical focus on women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pediatrics, and family medicine. My approach combines evidence-informed naturopathic medicine with compassionate, patient-centered care that recognizes the physical, emotional, and social aspects of health.

I work with individuals and families across many stages of life, supporting concerns such as hormone balance, menstrual health, PCOS, thyroid conditions, fatigue, digestive concerns, skin health, and complex or chronic symptoms. I also have a strong interest in supporting families navigating postpartum recovery, infant feeding, early childhood health, and the transitions that come with new parenthood.

My goal in practice is to help patients understand their bodies and feel empowered in their health decisions. During appointments, I take the time to listen carefully, explore underlying contributors to symptoms, and develop thoughtful, individualized care plans. Depending on the situation, care may include nutrition guidance, lifestyle medicine, botanical medicine, supplementation, acupuncture, and collaborative care with other health professionals.

I am passionate about improving access to supportive and culturally responsive care for families. I believe that when people feel seen, heard, and supported in their healthcare experiences, it creates stronger foundations for long-term health, not just for individuals, but for entire families and communities.

Perinatal and Family Care:

My clinical work is closely connected to perinatal, reproductive, and family health, supporting individuals before pregnancy, during pregnancy, throughout the postpartum period, and as families grow.

For individuals seeking to become pregnant, I provide preconception care focused on optimizing overall health, hormone balance, nutritional status, and lifestyle factors that support fertility and healthy pregnancy outcomes. This may include menstrual cycle assessment, lab interpretation, nutrition support, and individualized strategies to address concerns such as PCOS, irregular cycles, thyroid dysfunction, or fatigue.

During pregnancy, I support patients with nutrition guidance, digestive concerns, fatigue, sleep, musculoskeletal discomfort, and general wellness. Care focuses on helping patients feel supported throughout the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy while working collaboratively with midwives, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team when appropriate.

In the postpartum period, my work often focuses on recovery, hormonal shifts, nutrient replenishment, mood changes, hair loss, and overall physical healing. I also support parents navigating feeding concerns, sleep challenges, and the adjustment to new family dynamics.

I additionally work with infants, children, and families, helping address concerns such as digestive issues, immune health, skin conditions, and general wellness. My goal is to provide thoughtful, supportive care that helps parents feel informed and confident in supporting their children’s health.

Across all stages, my approach emphasizes education, collaboration, and long-term family wellness.
