Trudy was born on the beautiful island of Grenada and raised in Toronto and Ajax. She completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour at McMaster University. She then completed her Medical Doctorate at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts
During her medical training, she learned about midwifery and found that the midwifery model of care perfectly aligned with her goals of educating, empowering, and advocating for pregnant and postpartum clients. She transitioned to midwifery and completed her Bachelor of Health Science in Midwifery from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Trudy is a wife and mother of two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, serving her church community, playing board games, and reading psychological thrillers.
She is committed to providing exceptional midwifery care to all clients, particularly those from racialized and immigrant communities. She is passionate about increasing the accessibility, approachability, and utilization of midwifery services in underserved communities.
